Proverbs 3:5-7

Proverbs 3:5-7 (KJV)
5 Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
7 Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the Lord, and depart from evil.

Priorities In Life

So what does it look like to trust in God with our whole heart? Well, it means doing as He commands us and giving up things that are holding us back from following Him.

Proverbs 3:27,28

27 Withhold not good from them to whom it is due, when it is in the power of thine hand to do it.
28 Say not unto thy neighbour, Go, and come again, and to morrow I will give; when thou hast it by thee.

Our Confidence In God Helps Us

A Christian will not choose to do harm towards another person but show kindness instead. We pray that our speech is uplifting and our actions are considerate to other people’s needs.

Proverbs 3:13,14

13 Happy is the man that findeth wisdom, and the man that getteth understanding.
14 For the merchandise of it is better than the merchandise of silver, and the gain thereof than fine gold.

The Wisdom From God Brings Joy

The knowledge we gain from God is worth every penny. “For the merchandise of it is better than the merchandise of silver, and the gain thereof than fine gold.”

2 For length of days, and long life, and peace, shall they add to thee.
3 Let not mercy and truth forsake thee: bind them about thy neck; write them upon the table of thine heart:
4 So shalt thou find favour and good understanding in the sight of God and man.

Trust In God Over Yourself

If your focus is on God, you won’t help it but desire to live by His laws. By doing so, you are showing your trust in Him above all else.

Are You Ready For Judgement?

Those whose hearts are closed off to God’s will, in their life, are on a slippery slope to hell. Unless they open their hearts to God, they will surely die in their sins.

Honor And Respect God

How can somebody believe in their heart that they are saved, when they are acting out against God. Often people have other things that give them comfort and joy.

Trust In The Lord

We don’t need to bear the world on our own. We have a Savior that loves us and will comfort us. He will lift us up and give us strength.
