Persecution For Righteousness Sake
Surely, there is much rejoicing for those that die in the Lord. So many people have suffered for such a good cause, though it is hard to bear and witness.
The more we seek the Lord in prayer and the Bible, our faith will grow stronger. We will not be like some, where “cometh the devil, and taketh away the word out of their hearts.
The early church members are a great example of how a Christian ought to live a life for Christ. When I say ought to, it means desire to live righteously and get off of the path of wickedness.
Since Jesus and the Father are both considered God, then to worship them both is good. It is good to worship the Father and Jesus, our Lord.
When we no longer wish to fall under temptation and sin, that is God drawing us to Him. It is His power that helps us defeat Satan in his trickery.
Don’t be deceived by another gospel. We can find all truth in the Bible. Seek the truth and follow God’s counsel.
Seek the Lord’s presence and you shall find mercy. Come before the King and give Him thanks for He is worthy.
Our belief in God is the first step of following Him. Our openness to God allows Him to pour into us and give us wisdom.
There is power in the name of Jesus. Trust in Him and He will give you strength. We can do all things in Christ Jesus.
It is better to pray and love on those that are mean to us, then have God’s wrath be upon us also. Jesus said, “bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you.”
As we are called by Jesus to “abide in me, and I in you”, the more we do so, the more we will walk in His good works.
When we believe and know about the Lord Jesus, it is good to seek Him out often, through the Bible and prayer. This is where He is able to speak to our heart and soul and lead us into righteousness.
Anything that is put in place of God is an idol. if we keep serving the idol, the larger it will get, until it has taken us over.
Seek The Lord’s love and not your own. Be patient with others. Be kind and considerate of others feelings.
Speaking of giving, when we give what we have to those that have not, then it is not only doing God’s work but also brings a special feeling in the heart of the giver.
So let us refocus our attention on Jesus, and read more about His glorious birth, this Christmas season.
When we love the Lord Jesus, all of these things become a part of our lives. As we give our lives to Christ, He is able to transform is.
As the righteous enjoy being in the light of Jesus, the wicked do not want anything to do with it. It actually causes them to fear and be anxious.
To help us understand who has the characteristics of being mighty in all works, our counselor and judge, we will look to another verse from Isaiah.
So, as the story of the transfiguration continued, two key prophets from the Old Testament appeared. Namely, Moses and Elijah.
