The Reason For Jesus’s Birth

The story of Jesus’s birth teaches us how to trust in God. The angel told “Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost.” This miracle was the greatest miracle of all and God had a plan for Him and Mary. All He needed to do was trust in God for God’s promises would be fulfilled. Joseph was to “call his name Jesus: for he shall save his people from their sins.” His baby boy was to one day sacrifice himself on the cross so that we could be redeemed. His people would have forgiveness of sins because of their love for Him. His mercy would be on their shoulders. His Name is called Immanuel, “God with us”. For He is with all that believe in Him. The Holy Spirit is given to lead and guide His people. Though the flesh is weak, they are strengthened in God’s holiness for He is their shield. Joseph did call His baby boy Jesus. He trusted in God. Though He once wanted to separate from Mary, all this changed when His heart was given to the Lord. He was given a special mission to bring forth the Son of God and did as the angel directed. His life was changed that very minute and He was grateful.

I give praise for Jesus is born. I rejoice for Our Savior was born to redeem us from sins. My songs of thanksgiving are raised towards the heavens for His blood was shed to wash away our transgressions. We have much to be grateful for, for though we are fallen He gives us new life. He takes us in because of His great love. Our evil tendencies are replaced by righteous habits. Though our flesh is weak we are made strong in the Lord’s holiness. He is with all that believe in His Name. Those that honor Him with their words and deeds are called His people. To those that believe in Him, God is with them. They delight to follow God’s commands. His blessings are more fulfilling than anything this life can offer. Thank You Lord for coming into this world. You are a light to my life. You deliver me peace that never ends. Your happiness is eternal. Everything else I’ve put my trust in has eventually faded. Your promises breathe new life. I am honored to follow You. Though I’ve fallen you raise me up in repentance. I can feel your mercy and grace in my life each time I seek You in prayer. When temptation comes You help me resist. You are my shield. I trust in You. I love You.

Matthew 1:18-25 (KJV)
18 Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost.
19 Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not willing to make her a public example, was minded to put her away privily.
20 But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost.
21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name Jesus: for he shall save his people from their sins.
22 Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying,
23 Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.
24 Then Joseph being raised from sleep did as the angel of the Lord had bidden him, and took unto him his wife:
25 And knew her not till she had brought forth her firstborn son: and he called his name Jesus.
