Today’s Prayer (10/22/2020)
Oh Lord, I pray for my marriage and my relationship with my children also. I know that there are days where we are divided on things we say and do, and it is very difficult to get through to them. This causes a rift between them and myself, where unnecessary arguments arise. How often do I wish I could take back what has been said to my wife and children at these times. And later I say sorry, but it isn’t always enough. This is when things get very difficult in the home, even to the point of people distancing themselves from each other. And oh how sorry I am for being a cause of this type of rift with my family. Our relationship could be much better, and it simply isn’t where it should be. I remember how things have been in the past when You are leading each one of us and it is awesome. That is when we are more calm, considerate, patient, kind, and loving. There are fewer arguments, but, instead, rational questions and discussions with a softer tone. Some people may think I am demeaning them in this softer tone, but if they just knew how much I loved them, they would understand. So Lord, take what is broken in my marriage and my children’s relationship now and mend it with the Holy Spirit. Lately, we have come together in Bible study each night, but still, I can feel a rift in my marriage and the relationship with my children. So help me speak the truth in love to them. And may their hearts be softened also, that we may begin having conversations one with another that does not end in arguments. I know that if Your love takes hold of my life and theirs, this marriage can last, even until death. I also know that relationships will become stronger than ever. So help me in my marriage and relations with my children. I believe in You. I love You. Amen.

Oh Lord, I pray that people’s eyes will be opened to the evils of this world. Thank You for showing me how dark this world is, but I need others to also see it the way I can see it now. How so much darkness is now a part of people’s lives, even in the faith, and they aren’t even aware of it. Lord, I wish that people could see the destruction ahead of their lives, but I am unable to open their eyes. Therefore, come and be the ultimate witness to people when I and others are brave enough to get on the streets and declare Your truths to others. Yes, we need Your guidance, direction, understanding, and knowledge. We cannot convince any one person on our own part to repent and turn from their sins while following You instead on our own. Only If You are near and is doing the speaking can the Holy Spirit come and pierce the hearts of the wicked. This may not come with much openness, and instead resentment, but if they allow You to do the work in their lives, all that hurt will be transformed into gladness. Yes, God, all the people who are upset with the preacher who says Halloween is evil and very dark, will finally see the truth in what they are saying. Even to the point of not letting their children go out trick-or-treating, go to haunted houses, and the like, during the month of October. All their Halloween decorations would also be burnt up and destroyed. This, I pray, and I know that You can do all things. I believe in You, Jesus. Lead those people in darkness into Your light. I love You. Amen.

Oh Lord, I pray that people will come to know You. That they will draw near unto You, Jesus. Then, can You also draw near unto them. It is so vital that we allow You into our lives, and I pray that more people will do this, starting today. I wish that more people would understand the importance of coming to You daily in prayer, in Bible study, and through allowing You to use us for Your kingdom. I love You, Jesus, and if there is anything that I am lacking, please let me know now. If I am not being used for Your glory the way You wish, then tell me straight away. I do not wish to live this life thinking that I have been doing Your will when really it was my way the entire time. So please convict me of my sins, that I might fully repent. I am desirous now to fulfill Your every wish in my life. I will no longer stand idly by while people are not ministered to. Instead, if You desire for me to go out on the streets and be Your witness, just call me out. I will go and do as You say and do. I am Your willing servant and am humbled to be a worker in Your kingdom. Continue to use me and others valiantly for Your righteous cause. And cast out anything from mine and other people’s lives that are holding us back. It is our heat’s desire to serve You faithfully and not half hazard. I love You, Jesus. Oh Lord, I love and honor You. No matter what others may say, I come boldly to Your throne in worship and praise. Yes, Jesus, You are my King and I love You. Even now, do we come together and bow down before You. We confess our sins and that You are Lord. Only You have the power to save us from death and unto life. I have tried many different things, in order to find true happiness, and eventually, my eyes were opened. I discovered that love is only found in You. Nothing this world can offer me can ever replace the joy that I have found in You. Thank You, God, for coming down in the flesh and willfully dying for our sins. I am not worthy of Your sacrifice, and still, You have compassion over me, even to forgive a wretched sinner as I. Thank You for saving me from the destructive and sinful path that I was on and for placing me on Your righteous and holy path which leads to life. Surely, we cannot find the path which leads to heaven on our own, but only when You have come into our lives. Because I have decided to abide in You, You also abide in me. I am not left comfortless, for the Holy Spirit continually leading me also. I walk in newness of life, where there are new desires. Even my love for things have changed, for bringing joy into other people’s lives is where that joy comes from now. There are trials in life, but as long as other people are uplifted, prayed over, and cared for, I am more than happy. I love You, Jesus. Lead me this day and forever. Amen.

Oh Lord, I pray that people will begin to read the Bible daily and find Your truth for themselves. That they will no longer be influenced by the teachings of men, but come to a realization of what is true in their life. That You will be able to show them what is false and lead them into what is truth. Your ways are true and faithful, and I pray that more people will be so desirous to learn from You also. There are so many evil influences out there, and I pray that You will cast them out of every person’s lives that say they believe in You. I only wish to see more people be saved, but this is really tough when people’s eyes are wired shut. But one thing I know of that can open their eyes is the Holy Spirit. So it is my prayer that You will pour down the Spirit upon these wonderful people, who are far from You now, but think they are near. Bring them into a loving relationship with You once and for all. Then, will they begin to see and discover for themselves what is the fullness of joy. No matter the darkness that is currently in their lives, You are able to scatter it. Just one word and every evil force will be cast far from us, that Your Spirit can dwell in us instead. I believe in You, Jesus. I love You, God. Lead me and others in the ways of righteousness. Don’t allow us again to be mixed up in false religions and false beliefs. Teach us Your ways instead. We do not wish to be led astray, but be on Your path, which leads to heaven. No matter if I’ve enjoyed a false teaching, rip it from my life, that I might run from it and into Your everlasting arms. I love You, more. This I pray, God, in the Name Jesus Christ. Amen.

Oh Lord, I pray that people will begin to read the Bible for themselves. That they will no longer be tied down to the belief system of the church they are attending, but come to know if what they have been taught over the years is true or not. It is sad to know of all the many people who are on the pathway of destruction and aren’t even aware of this. However, just to be naïve about something, does not excuse these people for what they think they know and practice now. Therefore, I pray that people will become thinkers for themselves, outside their church. That this thinking will come from You and not other people’s influences. If people would learn to really put on Your armor, then there would not be any misuse of Your teachings in scripture, for the Holy Spirit would be leading them in the truth, instead of men. This is my prayer that people will come out of the different cults of our society today. That they will be drawn to You because of their newfound daily study in the Bible and prayer. There is true wisdom and knowledge from You alone, God, not from a person. I trust in You, Lord. I love You. Amen.

Oh Lord, I pray that members of the Mormon Church will come to a realization that their church is false and founded on lies. That they will understand how Satan was the cause of Joseph Smith’s deception from the beginning. How the devil knew that if he could lure this one man into believing a lie, then millions of other people would follow him. How conniving and malicious his desires have been from the beginning. And even now do I know that many of my family members are on this same path of destruction. Because they have been fed the various lies and false teachings in Mormonism, they are now much different Christians in their theology and religious practices. Surely, their other books have twisted scripture in a way that their beliefs are now built upon men’s ideas instead of Your own understanding, God. I am amazed at how people could have believed Joseph Smith when he said that he saw the Father and to join no other church, but the one he was going to build. For one, You said it, Jesus, that nobody can see the Father, and I believe it. Also, You said that “I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.” (Matthew 16:18) The enemy may have caused a stir in the church, by bringing about this cult and others, but this was known to happen. Even Paul predicted that people would fall away from Your church, which is Your body, Jesus. And that people would go after other gospels that look and appear so good unto men. Lord, I am saddened to know that a lot of my family is a part of the Mormon cult. I wish I could reach them, but for so long the doors have been closed. May You open those doors, Jesus, that I may lead them to You. Then, will their eyes be opened to the truth, while showing them what is false. I love You. Amen.
