Today’s Prayer (04/12/2021)

Oh Lord, I pray that people will understand the gravity of the sin of fornication. How that people who are intentionally involved with having sex outside of marriage, in homosexual relationships, incest, adulterous relationships, and/or look at pornography, are in danger of going to hell. Surely, the gravity of these sins is causing many people to leave the faith. Once involved with these wicked and abominable things, people have no more need of You, God, for their flesh is what gives them pleasure. They then, so often, start to justify their sins and forget to pray or seek Your hand. It isn’t until people in the faith come to them and tell them the truth of the gospel, that some of them wake up to their sins and get right with You. I know that I was one of them and still do struggle. You know my heart and it is not perfect, God. Even far from it, but thank God that You are still giving me chance after chance to come back to You. Surely, Your mercy is unfailing. We may fail You, but the day that we call upon Your Name, in all our confessions, are we restored into the faith, no questions asked. Thank You, Lord. You know every secret thing I have ever committed and it is an open book before You. Nothing can escape Your awesome presence. And not just me, but every person who is alive now and has ever lived. It is my prayer that I continue to come to You when I do fall, for I know that You will take me back. I also pray for others to continue to look to You in faith and to never lose hope in You, my Lord, and my Savior. I love You, God. Amen.

1 Corinthians 5:9-11

1 Corinthians 5:9-11 (KJV)
9 I wrote unto you in an epistle not to company with fornicators:
10 Yet not altogether with the fornicators of this world, or with the covetous, or extortioners, or with idolaters; for then must ye needs go out of the world.
11 But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolator, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat.
