Children Come From God

God loves us so much. We are His greatest creation. The children that the women bear come from God’s own hands. He is the one that forms them in the mother’s womb. Childbirth, although it is hard for many women to bear, is so worth it when the newborn baby is born. Just hear the responses of women in the hospital room when their baby is brought to them. It is like love at first sight. I know this to be true with my beautiful daughters when they were born. My wife was so happy that she was brought to tears. Tears of joy, my friend. As for Sarah in Genesis, chapter 21, let’s see how her pregnancy went. It reads, “and the Lord visited Sarah as he had said, and the Lord did unto Sarah as he had spoken. For Sarah conceived, and bare Abraham a son in his old age, at the set time of which God had spoken to him. And Abraham called the name of his son that was born unto him, whom Sarah bare to him, Isaac. And Abraham circumcised his son Isaac being eight days old, as God had commanded him.” (Genesis 21:1-4) It is here that we see God making Sarah’s pregnancy possible, even by sending her the love of her newborn son.

Just hear how happy Sarah and her husband, Abraham, were when she had her son Isaac. It is recorded, “and Abraham was an hundred years old, when his son Isaac was born unto him. And Sarah said, God hath made me to laugh, so that all that hear will laugh with me. And she said, Who would have said unto Abraham, that Sarah should have given children suck? for I have born him a son in his old age. And the child grew, and was weaned: and Abraham made a great feast the same day that Isaac was weaned.” (Genesis 21:5-8) As for Sarah, she laughed inside, knowing that she was very old at this time in her life, but still God was able to help her bear a son. Imagine waiting a lifetime with no children, and then near the end of your life, be able to give birth to a beautiful baby girl or boy. My friends, so many people wish they could have children and are unable. This is why adoption is so important for people considering abortion. Why kill your child when you could save their life in a home that loves him or her. As for Abraham in this story, I love how he made a feast for his son. Children are precious. Always remember this.

Let us pray:
Oh Lord, thank You for my children, and my wife for bearing them those nine months. I have seen my kids grow up so fast. Even my oldest is in high school now and almost to dating age. My youngest is in grade school but also growing so fast like her sister. You know all of our needs, God. That is why You placed my wife and kids into my life. They bring me great joy, and I am so grateful to have them all in my life. You are our great God who allowed all this to happen. Thank You. It is my prayer that people who are married and with kids, that they also thank You for what you have given them also. We are Your greatest creation and for us to raise our children under Your guidance is all I wish to do. I love You, Lord. You are my God and I worship You. Help every person realize the worth of the unborn child in the womb. I can’t bear thinking of all the babies murdered in abortion each year. We have lost so many future pastors, evangelists, teachers, and other leaders for Your kingdom. So I pray that people in the faith will no longer allow this to happen. There is worth in the unborn child, and I pray that people will begin to see this. I trust that this will happen to many more believers in You, Jesus. This I pray. Amen.
