Today’s Prayer (02/07/2022)

Oh Lord, help us remember the importance of the Sabbath day. That way we will learn what it means to honor You through resting on this day. I know that many weekends have gone by and I have forgotten to obey the Sabbath and I am sorry. You have also taught us that doing good on the Sabbath is also welcomed. I love to pray for people, help the homeless, and witness Your gospel truths with others on this day, along with going to church. It is a most wonderful day to reach the lost and to save souls for Your kingdom. I am happy to give up doing things and to focus my attention on You instead. It is so good to sit back and read the Bible, pray, and to share the gospel with others. Many of my most important memories have been made while serving You on the Sabbath day. I love Your ways, God, although I may not always show it. Forgive me for not always remembering You on this day. I am sorry for forgetting Your Sabbath at times. I will do a better job of remembering it and resting on that day. I love You more than what I could be doing otherwise. I trust in You, God. Thank You for showing me the way. Amen.

Exodus 16:25-30

Exodus 16:25-30 (KJV)
25 And Moses said, Eat that to day; for to day is a sabbath unto the Lord: to day ye shall not find it in the field.
26 Six days ye shall gather it; but on the seventh day, which is the sabbath, in it there shall be none.
27 And it came to pass, that there went out some of the people on the seventh day for to gather, and they found none.
28 And the Lord said unto Moses, How long refuse ye to keep my commandments and my laws?
29 See, for that the Lord hath given you the sabbath, therefore he giveth you on the sixth day the bread of two days; abide ye every man in his place, let no man go out of his place on the seventh day.
30 So the people rested on the seventh day.
