Mormons believe they have gifts of the Spirit in their church, but still, they change and remove the real gifts that are spoken of in 1 Corinthians 12, by the Apostle Paul. In this chapter, we learn of the following gifts of the Spirit. Word of wisdom, word of knowledge, faith, gifts of healing, working of miracles, prophecy, discerning of spirits, divers kinds of tongues, and interpretation of tongues. This is in comparison to the Mormon church which teaches the following. “We believe in the gift of tongues, prophecy, revelation, visions, healing, interpretation of tongues, and so forth.” (Articles Of Faith) Notice how they add revelation and visions while leaving out the word of wisdom, knowledge, faith, working of miracles, and discerning of spirits. This is a huge difference and a restored church from the original would not add and remove from the true gifts of the Spirit.
The apostle Paul wrote, “Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord. And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all. But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal. For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit; To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit; To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues.” (1 Corinthians 12:4-10)
There is a reason why Mormons would add revelation and visions to the gifts of the spirit. This is because they believe in latter-day prophets that lead and guide their church with that revelation and visions from god. It is interesting how they leave out the true word of wisdom from God but still make up their man-made word of wisdom as prophecy from their god. Do they not realize that God giving us wisdom is a gift of the Spirit? The same goes for knowledge, Faith, working miracles, and discerning of good and evil spirits. Every one of God’s gifts of the Spirit should be sought after and not say it is no longer for Christ’s church today. I will testify that the gifts of the Spirit are missing in the Mormon religion. They have a form of a spirit with them but it is not of God. I am talking about the demonic realm. Those in the Christian community can see this. Amen.

Lord, I pray that people will seek earnestly to have the gifts of the Spirit in their lives. So many people could have You in their midst if only the spirit of God was with them. Churches don’t have to be dull and without any excitement, for when the Spirit of the Lord is with us, there is much to rejoice about. God, I am so grateful for the revival that took place in Asbury Kentucky. May the Holy Spirit remain in that city and in the people that came. Lord, this is a miracle that took place that surely only You could have done. Now, we have thousands of more people that have given their lives over to You, Jesus, and are saved. God, this is what I hope for in my city and in the places I go on mission trips to like Salt Lake City. Lord, take out all the darkness and usher in the light of Spirit from on high. Fill all the earth with Your presence. I love You, Jesus. I trust in You, God. Amen.
